The valedictory program of the certificate course in Oncology nursing and Neuroscience nursing offered by the department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育, to staff nurses of Kasturba Hospital, 沙巴体育 was held on December 19, 2022, at the Conference Hall of Shirdi Saibaba Block, Kasturba Hospital (KH), 沙巴体育.

Dr. Avinash Shetty, Medical superintendent of KH, 沙巴体育 was the chief guest and Dr. Suba Sooria P, Head Nursing Services, KH, 沙巴体育 was the guest of honor. Mrs. Rishmitha, Lecturer, Department of Medical-surgical Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育, welcomed the gathering.

The awardees of the Oncology nursing certificate course were presented by Dr. Radhika R Pai, Associate Professor, Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, MCON, 沙巴体育. The certificates for the participants of the course were awarded by Dr. Avinash Shetty and, Dr. Judith A Noronha, Dean, MCON, 沙巴体育.

The awardees of the Neuroscience nursing certificate course were presented by Dr. Soumya Christabel, Assistant Professor, Dept of Medical-surgical Nursing, MCON 沙巴体育. The certificates were awarded by Dr. Girish Menon, Professor and Head, Department of Neurosurgery, and Dr. Navin Salins. Professor and Head, Palliative Medicine & Supportive care. Dr. Avinash Shetty congratulated the participants and encouraged them to apply the gained knowledge in patient care. Dr. Suba Sooria emphasized on updating the knowledge and skills, and Dr. Judith A Noronha motivated the participants to apply evidence-based practice to improve the quality of care.
