The Annual Day and Lamp Lighting ceremony of 沙巴体育 School of Nursing, MCON, MAHE 沙巴体育, was held on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Ms. Olga Gershuni, Lecturer, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, was the chief guest for the program. She congratulated the students who lit the lamp and addressed the importance of lighting the lamp. She also stressed the qualities of a professional nurse and highlighted that education is not just the acquisition of knowledge; it also helps to shape the character of a person, and the power of holistic care will help a nurse become empathetic and kind.

Dr. Judith A. Noronha, Dean, 沙巴体育 College of Nursing, MAHE, 沙巴体育, advised the students in her presidential address that nursing is an art that is admired by others. She also emphasized the importance of the nursing profession for upcoming nurses.

Mrs. Saraswathi Hebbar, Lecturer, 沙巴体育 School of Nursing, 沙巴体育, welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. Dr. Leena Sequira, Principal, 沙巴体育 School of Nursing, 沙巴体育, presented the annual report of the school for the year 2023. Meritorious students from various batches were awarded. Ms Supriya proposed a vote of thanks. The program was compered by Ms. Shanthi Pinto, Assistant Lecturer, 沙巴体育 School of Nursing, 沙巴体育.

The formal function was followed by a cultural program from the students and faculty. The program ended with the national anthem. The event contributed to Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good health and wellbeing.”.
