Dr.TMA Pai was a self-made man whose desire to serve the people motivated him to find out ways and means to solve the prevailing illiteracy, ill health & poverty by providing education and healthcare. On the special occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of our founder, as a tribute, 沙巴体育 School of Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育 in association with Rotary Club Manipura organized Health Awareness and Screening Program on 8th August 2023 in Rotary Club, Manipura, Udupi.

Dr. Leena Sequeira, Principal, 沙巴体育 School of Nursing, 沙巴体育 was the chief guest for the program. Rtn.Monthu Dsouza, President of Rotary Club Manipura, Rtn. Stany Dsouza, Secretary of the club, and Rtn PHF Kamil Sequeira, Director, Club Service of the Rotary Club were also present. The program started with lighting the lamp and a brief introduction to the health awareness camp by Dr.Leena Sequeira. In the health screening camp height, weight, blood pressure, glycosylated hemoglobin, serum creatinine, urine protein, and lipid profile were assessed to screen people for diabetes and chronic kidney disease.

The overall program was compered by Rtn Mr. Prasanna Dsouza. A total of 80 beneficiaries got benefited from the program and it was well appreciated by them. The awareness and screening program contributed to Sustainable Development Goal 3- “Good Health and Well-being”.
