The College Day and Awards Ceremony 2025 of 沙巴体育 College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Mangalore, a constituent unit of MAHE, 沙巴体育, was celebrated with grandeur on 26th September 2025 at the Dr. T.M.A. Pai 沙巴体育 Convention Centre, Mangalore. The event commenced at 5:30 pm with the dignitaries, faculty, students, and guests in attendance.

Dr. Shanila Lajju, UG alumna (Batch of 1988) and Group CEO of Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres, Dubai, UAE, was the Chief Guest of the evening. Dr. Dilip G. Naik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mangalore Campus, MAHE, was the Guest of Honour, while the program was presided over by Dr. Sharath K Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor – Health Sciences, MAHE.

The program began on an auspicious note with an invocation by Dr. Aishwarya, Ph.D scholar. Dr.Junaid Ahmed, Associate Dean gave the formal welcome address.? This was followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.

Dr. Ashita Uppoor, Dean, MCODS, Mangalore, presented the Annual Report for 2024–25, highlighting the academic achievements, research contributions, community services, and extracurricular accomplishments of the institution. The report reflected the commitment of MCODS towards excellence in dental education and healthcare services.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Shanila Lajju, in her inspiring address, reminisced about her student days at MCODS and emphasized the importance of perseverance, empathy, good attitude, and innovation in the field of healthcare.

The College Magazine ‘Crownicles’ was released by the dignitaries during the College Day 2025 celebrations.

The Guest of Honour, Dr. Dilip G. Naik, appreciated the progress of the college and motivated students to pursue knowledge with dedication. Dr. Sharath K Rao, in his address, praised the institution for its contribution to healthcare and education, urging students and faculty to uphold the legacy of MAHE with integrity and excellence.

The event also witnessed the presentation of awards to students and faculty for their outstanding achievements in academics, research, and extracurricular activities. The recognition of talent brought pride and encouragement to all present. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr.Srikant N, Associate Dean followed by the National Anthem. The evening was a celebration of success, inspiration, and togetherness, leaving behind cherished memories for students, faculty, and alumni alike.
