A guest lecture was conducted for the postgraduate students of the Department of Periodontology, delivered by Dr. Vijendra Singh, an esteemed alumnus (UG 1999 &PG 2007) of the institution. The session focused on the topic of "Bone Grafting for Implantology: Current Concepts," providing an insightful overview of advancements in the field.
Dr. Singh began the session by emphasizing the importance of bone grafting in implantology, particularly in cases of inadequate alveolar bone volume. He elaborated on the various types of bone graft materials, including autografts, allografts, xenografts, and alloplasts, highlighting their advantages, limitations, and indications.
