Computer Aided Industrial Engineering Lab

Computer Aided Industrial Engineering (CAIE) Laboratory is a well-furnished computer facility that is a hub for modelling, simulating and analysing industrial operations. Students are encouraged to develop models of real-world scenarios in various industries. The lab comprises specialized industrial operations management softwares such as Lingo by Lindo Systems for optimizations and decision support, Arena V5 by Rockwell Automation for industry modelling and simulation, and Minitab for experimental design, data analytics and visualization as well as quality control. Laboratory experiments involve applying important concepts of? descriptive and inferential statistics, quantitative techniques, discrete event simulation, aggregate planning, material requirement planning, stock analysis, bottleneck analysis and production scheduling.
