Chronicle Guidelines:

Law and society are bound by a complex relation, whereby they influence, adapt and contradict each other on a regular basis. Every aspect of human life is affected by this complex relation. Chronicle strives to decipher this complexity by making new laws, changing policies, legislations, judgments and much more accessible within a short span for experts and beginners. Since the relation between law and society is far from uniform, Chronicle is dedicated to encouraging interdisciplinary approaches to law.

We encourage submissions on the following:

  • Original articles on current topics
  • Reviews and analysis on books, articles, policy development, interviews, legislative comment, case comment or any other relevant literature
  • Response to articles on the MLS blog to foster a healthy forum for discussions
  • Podcasts* based on any of the subject matter mentioned above in an interview or discussion format that is up to 20 to 30 minutes long
  • Short non-fictional accounts or reflections / fictional reflects, including poems**, on different aspects of law, culture, cinema, media etc. will be considered

The articles must be of maximum 800 to 1000 words, longer pieces will be considered on editors’ discretion.

Hyperlink sources in the body of the text. The hyperlinks will enable readers to engage with referred literature and more.

Use of simple language with clarity of thought is expected as the blog is intended to reach beginners and lay people.

To promote a complete understanding of the topics for scholars and non-scholars, avoid unsubstantiated opinions and arguments.

*Experts called for interviews or discissions must be approved prior to the commencement of the podcast
