CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Prof./Dr. Prakash Narayanan obtained his MSc in Demography, and MPhil and PhD in Population Studies from JNU, New Delhi, and completed his post-doctoral fellowship in 沙巴体育 Africa. In past?22 years he was engaged in social and public health research; managing Monitoring & Evaluation of national programmes; conducted large-scale and complex community & clinic-based intervention studies; was a member of National Working Group for Biological and Behavioural Surveillance of152,000 most at risk population groups for MoHFW, Government of India; conducted over 30 pan-India studies; published over 35 peer-reviewed articles in international and national journals; prepared over 15 research and technical reports and monographs. He is currently working in the fields of one-health (prevention of diseases from environment-animals-humans, antimicrobial resistance, environmental pollution, etc.), biodiversity (assessment and disease spill over to humans), climate change (gender, equity, human-wildlife conflicts, medical education curriculum, resilience strategies, etc.), in addition to teach research methods, monitoring and evaluation, demography, one-health, clinical research methods to post-graduate students, and supervision of Doctoral and PG research projects; He is currently handling two (Indian Council of Medical 沙巴体育 and Institutional) funded projects on Biodiversity. He is the institutional coordinator for PhD in PSPH.
