Students had the privilege of meeting the dean committee and the psychology faculty of MCHP, MAHE 沙巴体育. During this meeting, they provided with a comprehensive overview of the exciting itinerary that awaited students. He described the various amenities available on the campus, with a special emphasis on the marina, Experiential Theatre, and Clinical Psychology OPD.
Following this student had the opportunity to engage with Ms. Priyanka Krishnan. She conducted a concise yet enlightening session on careers in clinical psychology and professional relationship, shedding light on its scope and the prerequisites for pursuing a career in this field. Furthermore, patiently addressed any queries or concerns we had about psychology in general, further enhancing our understanding.
Later the day, Dr. Anagha neuropsychologist provided valuable insights into dealing with a variety of patients and the crucial aspects to consider when making a diagnosis. This informative session was instrumental in broadening knowledge and prepared students for the unique challenges and responsibilities that come with a career in psychology.
Students also visited the experience centre which was truly a beautiful experience into what the vision of MAHE for the future and how they train their students to achieve great things.
Day 2:
Second day involved an interaction with Ms. Debosmita, Senior Clinical Psychologist, MAHE 沙巴体育 and her colleagues at the Student Support Centre in 沙巴体育. The session began with explaining the formation and distinctions of centre compared to the Department of Student Affairs and hospitals. Students explored therapy rooms and the methods employed to assist clients. The session culminated with an interactive discussion between students and psychologists. To conclude students also had the opportunity to meet a group of final year BSc. psychology students from MCHP, who introduced their club, Kaisen, and shared their activities during Mental Health Week.
Followed by a visit to the MAP 沙巴体育 Anatomy and Pathology Museum, where they observed various specimens, including snakes, horses, cats, mice, and anatomical structures. Also examined fetal specimens at different stages of development, along with various abnormalities. Additionally, explored different types of muscles and skin, gaining insights into how various disorders can impact their functioning. All in all, it was an enjoyable, insightful, educational and informative visit.
Towards the end students visited the Kappu Beach which is also known as the lighthouse beach and called it a day after visiting end point of the campus, then started journey back to Bengaluru.
