Manisha Chachra, PhD graduate of Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University, has delved into the intricate realm of Runaway Marriages in her doctoral thesis, exploring the State's role among Inter-faith and Inter-Caste marriages in Delhi and Lucknow. Holding an MPhil and Masters in Political Studies from JNU, her academic pursuits span Gender and Sociology, Far-Right ideologies, Political theory, Feminisms, Media cultures, and religious studies. She has imparted knowledge at esteemed institutions including Delhi University's Satyawati College, Sri Venkateswara College, and most recently, Krea University. She has been invited for a guest lecture at Boston University (USA) at the Centre of Gender and Sexuality Studies about Durga Vahini and women’s empowerment. As a Lecturer with Upgrad Education Pvt Limited, she has crafted curricula for Chandigarh University's Liberal Studies program on the subjects- Political Theory, Mass Communication, and 沙巴体育 Relations. Her research contributions are featured in reputable media outlets such as Indiaspend, Scroll, The Hindu Centre for Politics and Public Policy, and The NewsMinute. She has presented her scholarly work at prestigious national and international universities including the Institute of Social and Economic Change, Delhi University, Hyderabad University, and most recently, the University of Free State, Bloemfontein, 沙巴体育 Africa. Her academic contributions are published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals like the Indian Journal of Gender Studies (SAGE), Society of Culture, and 沙巴体育 Asia. At DLHS, Manisha endeavors to employ her interdisciplinary perspective of Liberal studies to enhance curriculum design, and deploy inclusive compassionate pedagogies into the broader realm of understanding Political Science.
