Dr. Komal Beri

Assistant Professor

Dr. Komal Beri is an assistant professor of psychology at DLHS, with vast experience in social and counselling psychology. She earned her PhD in Psychology from IGNOU, New Delhi. Additionally, she holds an MA in Psychology from Daulat Ram College, Delhi University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling & Guidance from the Department of Education, Delhi University and a B.Sc. in Physics Hons. from Miranda House, Delhi University. Dr. Beri's research interests include sexual minority stress, drug abuse, and urban poverty. Before joining DLHS, MAHE, she taught at K.R. Mangalam and Sharda University. She also worked as a researcher in a collaborative research engagement between AIIMS, New Delhi, and Brown University. Additionally, she gained practical experience as a counselling psychologist at ePsyClinic, providing quality mental healthcare. She has published articles & book chapters on the experiences of sexual minorities. She has a tremendous curiosity for ideas and social reality and also the diligence and humility to find and then stay with a specific site of intervention, however difficult it may be.
